We frequently counsel clients in areas that include family and medical leave including compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other laws regarding medical leave, family leave and employment discrimination.  We have extensive experience in issues centered on overtime pay, white collar exemptions, permissible pay deductions and other wage and hour issues.  We counsel our clients on the issues of effective management of the workplace through the development of workplace policies and employee handbooks.  We frequently draft specific employment policies for clients on issues such as sick leave, annual leave, family and medical leave, overtime and other important employment matters.

 

Likewise, we represent employees in negotiation of and in bringing claims against employers for breaches of employment agreements, violation of discrimination in employment laws, leave related issues and generally all areas of labor or employment law effecting employers and employees.  We handle all aspects of employment discrimination and wrongful discharge litigation. We are experienced in defending clients in discrimination cases and in related tort claims such as wrongful discharge, defamation, intentional interference with contractual relations and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
